Ford to Recall over 600,000 SUVs

Ford Motor Company is recalling 634,000 vehicles worldwide over a possible fire risk caused by cracked fuel injectors.
The carmaker said the recall covers 2020–23 model year Bronco Sport and Escape crossovers with 3 cylinder, 1.5 liter engines.
The company said a cracked fuel injector could cause fuel or fuel vapor to accumulate near hot surfaces and cause an under-hood fire, and is urging inspections.
“Taking care of our customers who are affected by this potential issue is our utmost priority,” said Jim Azzouz, Executive Director, Global CX Products & Customer Relations.
Ford said it would offer free repairs, including updating the engine control software and installing a drain tube to direct fuel away from hot surfaces, as well as free pick-up and delivery.
