Recently, McLaren has leaked many photos hinting at their latest creation that would be the next level from the McLaren P1 that was debuted to the world roughly 5 years ago. On social media from McLaren Automotive we have seen everything from a tri-exhaust outlet and photos of Chris Goodwin, McLaren test driver seated in a center positioned McLaren 720S testing what looks to be a McLaren F1 successor.
McLaren kept their lips pretty sealed on what they have been brewing up in their Woking factory as of late. This weekend they took the wraps off what all of us knew at the project P15. Offically McLaren unveiled the P15 as the McLaren Senna over the weekend. McLaren named the car after the most iconic Formula 1 drivers of all time, Ayrton Senna. With that type of name attached to a McLaren the specs of the car should live up to one of the fastest men on the planet. McLaren says this is by far the most extreme McLaren road car they have developed yet for track use.
At the heart of the Senna, you will find a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8. No hybrid system is attached to the Senna as in the P1. The twin-turbo v8 will make 789 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque.

The body is interesting to say the least and that seems to be the consensus from the entire internet. But, if you are not very familiar with McLaren and their design ways, well then lets explore. McLaren is a massive technology company that prides themselves on pushing technology to new levels and beyond. Does it matter how a part looks if it performs better then the pretty part? McLaren was founded as a racing company by Bruce McLaren during a time when you did anything to go faster and faster. The Senna is a perfect example of what McLaren actually is. The are a company that cares about function prior to form.

Underneath the skin of the Senna we will find a carbon fiber chassis that is stronger than anything before. The Senna is based off the 720S carbon monocell II. The Senna finds itself weighing in at 2,641 pounds which is the lightest McLaren since the McLaren F1 in the 90s. With a price tage of $1 million USD and some of the most most ludicrous options on the market.
