The Porsche craze has continued into 2018 for all sim racers as the Porsche 911 RSR has been adopted into mostly all of the sim racing platforms at this point. One of the big players iRacing at this moment had not added the Porsche 911 RSR but did debut the Porsche 919 Hybrid LMP1 car alongside the Audi R18 a few months ago with huge success. Today iRacing released footage and a release date for the fan favorite Porsche 911 RSR. June 5th the RSR will be available to all iRacing members.
If you are not familiar with iRacing, here is a little history. iRacing is a subscription-based simulation released in 20078 for online gameplay with realistic car dynamics and laser scanned tracks and cars that are for purchase individually. iRacing tends to be more of the premier systems out there for sim racers due to the cost and computer power needed to operate the sim. Over the lat year iRacing has made huge leaps forward with more competition coming into play for them. Below is a short video iRacing has released on the Porsche 911 RSR.
