The Grinch was spotted in Arizona last week, when a state trooper noticed “a Seusspicious-looking passenger” riding in the high-occupancy vehicle lane.
A photo shared by the Arizona Department of Public Safety shows a driver who was pulled over for using an inflatable Grinch as a fake passenger in an attempt to get away with using the HOV lane.
Trooper Ferguson “stopped the driver and determined the grumpy green guy was, in fact, an inflatable Grinch and there were no other passengers in the car,” the agency said.
“While we appreciate the festive flair, this is illegal and the driver received a citation for their HOV violation,” the agency said.
