Lamborghini Might Enter Formula 1, Says CEO

Published

on

If you are not familiar with Stefano Domencali, the Lamborghini CEO. Domencali is a 21-year Formula 1 vet, he ran the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 team from 2008-2013. This is not just a CEO trying to get attention for his brand, this man knows the sport and what it takes to compete at the Formula 1 level financially and performance.
“Because motorsport will always be part of Lamborghini, if the motorsports platform [F1] will change and we have the solidity as a company, the answer is why not?” Says Domencali.
These are all long-term goals, so if Formula 1 rules change enough where it makes sense for the raging bull to build a formula 1 team, then we will see them. For now, we think it is a long-term goal for the Italians.
Lamborghini currently is focusing on the launch of the Aventador S a few days ago and keeping up with the production of Huracan.
