Why Were These Aircrafts Abandoned?

We have all seen an abandoned car along the roadside in our hometown but what about an expensive private jet, military jet or commercial airliner just left to corrode away? What was the reasoning? Surely, you wouldn’t just leave your plane somewhere and forget about it like a two-week old toy to a child.
