According to an announcement made this week by the two firms, General Motors has agreed to offer Hertz Global up to 175,000 electric vehicles over the next five years.
According to the agreement, GM will begin providing the world’s largest rental car company with electric vehicles like the Chevrolet Bolt EV and Bolt EUV in the first quarter of 2019.
As the output of cars and trucks in North America rises along with the price of the battery cells that power them, it is anticipated that GM will greatly increase the production of all-electric vehicles in the upcoming years.
By 2025, the business expects to be able to produce 1 million EVs in each of China and North America.
