Many of these movies are based on true stories of infamous real-life criminals, and the tales of their activities and ultimate fate plays extremely well on the big screen.
Over the years, actors like De Niro, Stallone, and even Brando solidified their names in the greatness of this genre based on their acting performance alone, especially in iconic scenes. Here we rank the greatest gangster movies of all time.
