Carlos Sainz To Take Ferrari F1 Seat For 2021 Season
Yesterday morning news broke from the Italian Formula 1 team Scuderia Ferrari that they would be ending their driver agreement with Sebastian Vettel. The 2020 has yet to start due to the current world health issues but teams are already focused on 2021.
With the 2021 new Formula 1 rules to be pushed to 2022 and teams are going to have to reuse their 2020 car design for next years events. The Formula 1 world has been turned upside down just like many major sports during this turmoil.
This morning news broke that McLaren’s driver Carlos Sainz will be filling the seat of the German at Ferrari. Vettel will resume as Ferrari’s driver when racing starts back up when Formula 1 management decides it is safe for all teams to travel and compete in the world championship.
ESPN sources reported that Sainz’s contract is not completed but will be confirmed on Thursday. This move from McLaren to Ferrari will possibly allow Ricciardo to take Sainz place at McLaren when his deal is up at the end of 2020 with Renault.
