The lap Jarvis laid down during qualifying breaks the track record that was set in 1993 by P.J. Jones in his GTP-class Toyota. Following Jarvis in second and third starting positions for the twice-around-the-clock event starting Saturday will be Team Penske with their Acura ARX-05. Jarvis’s sister car No.55 piloted by Jonathan Bomarito ended up fourth on the starting grid in row two.
